Following up on previous teases, Rockstar Games has released a second, longer trailer for their upcoming game Grand Theft Auto V. This new trailer shows off the game’s storyline, involving heists, car chases, and train collisions. The three main characters (Michael, Franklin, and Trevor) are displayed and some details on their backgrounds and personalities are hinted at. One thing to note is how pretty the game is. Now, Nico Bellic’s adventure in Grand Theft Auto IV had impressive graphics, but it took place in grimy Liberty City with lots of greys and neutral colors. The world of Los Santos is far more vibrant, with lots of foliage, sunshine, and bright colors. Anyway, take a look for yourself:
According to the December 2012 cover article in Game Informer magazine, the Los Santos area will be “bigger than Read Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV and San Andreas combined”. While this is surely a massive undertaking, will Rockstar be able to knock another one out of the park? Keep it here to GripYaJoystick as we near the projected Spring 2013 release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
