Interestingly, the sequel was called Cyberpunk 2 CD Projekt Group’s first quarter 2025 revenue report. Whether this is the more direct name of the project for investors or the official name for the future is unknown. Anyway, it’s not impossible to imagine it being called, as creator Mike Pondmis confirms a new city that feels “Chicago was wrong.” Cyberpunk 2080.
Dates are important as Night Corp created a Maglev connection that allows trips from Night City to Chicago on the official series timeline. It is still unknown if players will travel to the latter, but Pondmis revealed that Night City will return with a sequel.
