When is the release date for Elden Ring Nightreign? Your time in the land between is not finished yet, it’s discolored. Or does it have to be a night farrer? This standalone multiplayer game is the closest game for software fans to reach the official Eldenling Co-op mode, and we couldn’t be excited to be caught up in hilarious cooperation.
Elden Ring Nightreign is set in space alongside the Souls-like gaming universe that we all know and love, paving the way for new possibilities. As the Elden Ring Nightrign Review proves, this cooperative adventure reduces the boundaries of Elden Ring’s open world, a random enemy, location, and even a surprise surprise where cameos are pulled from others. We’re digging into everything we know before the release date, so we’ll gather together fellow nightfarrers and prepare for the Eldenling Night League.

Elden Ring Nightreign Release Date
Elden Ring Nightrign is released on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. It will be on sale at 3pm PDT / 6pm EDT / 11pm BST, and on May 30th at 12am / 8am AEST.
These release times are for PC version only. Check the infographic above for console release times. Nightreign can be preloaded 48 hours before your local PC release time.
Elden Ring Nightreign is available on PC via Steam and on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X/s for console users. There is also the latest news on whether Nightreign will be on Game Pass at launch.
Thanks to the Elden Ring Nightreign Beta, a select few players had to practice using Nightreign before launching. This console-only network testing was limited to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/s. According to Capcom, the player defeated the beast, Night Lord Gradius, 58,615 times.
Given the proximity of the release date, it is unlikely that another beta will occur before launch. Instead, you can make sure your PC can run with the requirements of the Elden Ring Nightreagn System.
Elden Ring Nightreg Editions
There are four editions of Elden Ring Nightreign: Standard, Deluxe, Seekers and Collectors. There are also additional pre-order bonus gestures that players can get later.
The Deluxe Edition includes additional DLC, digital artbooks and mini soundtracks, while the Seekers Edition features a Steelbook case with all the content listed above.
Collector’s Edition includes a statue of Wylder, eight night farrer cards, and a 40-page hardcover art book, as well as everything that is found in Seekers Edition.
Eldenling Night Legun Trailer
The official revealed the trailer for the Eldenling Night Trin, which aired at the December 2024 Game Awards. This establishes this alternative version of the land and its multiplayer focus, as the corrupt power of the night’s rule envelops the blue flame landscape.
It consists almost entirely of gameplay, with some in-engine cutscenes thrown in properly. fromsoftware repurposed much of Eldenling’s assets for Nightreign to create an original experience without losing the spirit of the former. Also, we don’t expect to wait too long or suffer from major delays to ensure the rapid development of this standalone episode.
The pre-order trailer gives us a closer look at the bosses, enemies and abilities of Nightrign that we can expect. This time we have discovered several encounters with Eldenling enemies that take place in a variety of environments. And we’ve looked into some of the playable night grain classes and their unique powers.
However, the scene steeler in the pre-order trailer is Gladius, the Beast of the Night. These terrifying three wolves are the final bosses of Nightrign’s network test. However, Gladius is just one of several potential night roads that you might face on the third and final days.
Finally, the Nightrign overview trailer captured us with a general premise. Nightfarrer is sent to Limveld before the night’s descent to hunt Night Roads and end the great nations of the past. Since we only have three days to accumulate the power to defeat such a powerful force, we need to pave the path through this ever-changing world before the night is autumn.
The trailer also introduces the environmental challenges faced in Nightrign, including random events that could dramatically change the landscape. Meteor strikes and rotting forests constitute new traversal challenges on otherwise familiar terrain, but the sudden appearance also offers new booty opportunities.
As the tide closes, Linfeld’s boundary begins to retreat like Fortnite’s iconic storm until Nightfarrer is forced into an inevitable conflict with the resident Night Road.
Eldenling Night Legs Gumping
The Elden Ring Co-op is the most requested feature in the Soulslike Game community, leaving the Elden Ring Mod to fill in the Elden Ring Mods. Nightreign is not fully integrated into the base game like the seamless Co-Op Mod, but offers a way to experience a multiplayer mode designed by FromSoftware itself. Teams can be formed with a team of up to three players. Technically, it’s possible to go alone, but as they say, be prepared to die.
Whether or not they are grouped alone, Nightreign challenges Limveld to last longer than the night. Instead, the key to success lies in the hidden synergy connected to the freedom of eight playable characters and all weapons and spells in Nightreign, adding a new dimension to the core experience of a single-player game. Even failures can unlock new ways to switch playstyles and provide a new route to victory. Be prepared to take advantage of your emotions as communication is key to victory and Eldenling’s messaging system won’t appear in nightreign.
Night Road may be a big bad, but that’s not the only threat to worry about in your run. True to the form, Elden Ring Nightreign is stacked with new bosses and several familiar faces. Dark Souls 3’s Unknown King reprise will be the most exciting reveal for FromSoftware fans. Considered the most difficult encounter in the assoftware title until his abdication by Melania, this royal traitor throws lightning bolts across his trusty blue wyvern, and generally becomes a threat we remember.
Eldenling Night League Story
Elden Ring Nightrign’s story is expected to be as obfuscated as Elden Ring, but is probably a little lighter than the heavy beats of lore that continued in the shadows of Erdtree. The main mystery is the identity of the main antagonist of the Night League.
Night Road is not a known entity in Eldenling, but there are some hints that you can connect to NOX. This ancient race was exiled underground after committing high treason against a greater will. The flavor texts of Knox Sword Stress Crown and Nightmare Twin Crown reveal that they live “the days of the stars, and the Lord of their Lord, in anticipation of their Liège forever.” Probably the same night road and the night road in Night Ligue.
Age of Stars is also the official name of one of the Eldenling endings. This sees the land between Ranni’s “eternal” spouses as the spouse between the stars. There is no agreed “Canon” that ends with Elden Ring, but the parallel universe of Nightreign could be that of this ending. The Night Road could be a discolored one to help Ranni bring about the Age of Stars and to aid in the arrival of “a millennium voyage under the wisdom of the moon.”
This theory may seem a little far away, but it takes priority over making players from the software oppose themselves in the past. Dark Souls 3 will peak with players who will face all the champions linked to the first flame. This is the equivalent of the person who completed Dark Souls 1.
Nightreign Remembrances promises to explore Nightfarrer’s backstory with flavoured text and playable memories. Some people bring in side quests unique to Night Far Rays, such as defeating certain bosses or collecting hidden items. This is certainly a major change from Eldenling’s memory system, but I can’t wait to get it.
