Phasmophobia will be getting a sound recorder, evidence revamp, and more with its Chronicle update next month

The next Phasmophobia Update, Chronicle, is set to announce a new release date next month on June 24th, and developer Kinetic Games has provided some details about what is called one of the “biggest updates” of the game so far. So let’s see what it entails! An important addition to this update is the arrival of Sound Evidence. This is probably a new, unforgettable paranormal proof type that you will get using the newly added sound recorder.

The journal was then completely redesigned. The Photos tab becomes a media tab that organizes evidence into photos, videos, and the sound recordings mentioned above. To achieve the perfect research, you need to fill your book with unique media. There are several new events such as EMF spikes, rocking chairs and other interactions, as well as various ghost forms that will help you do this.

The media quality system has also been revamped. Now, every time you capture the first evidence of a media type, it is marked as unique, so you can get bonus douches and experience once you’ve finished your contract. Additionally, this update also has some bug fixes.

Following the release of Chronicle, there will also be a rework of the Grafton Farmhouse. Kinetic explains in a blog post that the entire map has been overhauled, i.e. some re-themed rooms, certain spaces have increased or decreased in size, with a new “crowded attic with sheets covered with old furniture.”

Earlier this year, the movement outlined the future of fasmophobia, promising more (not bigger) maps, more map rework and Horror 2.0.
