After many bet against it, a PS5 State of Play is coming tomorrow with over 40 minutes of game reveals

Sony has officially announced that it will eventually host an event in June. It will be a state of diversity, and it will air live tomorrow. Sony has recently become a habit of announcing these live streams one or two days before the expected date of an event.

The state of play this June is no exception, and it doesn’t seem to be heavy in first-party games.

This week’s play will be live tomorrow June 4th in 2pm, 5pm, 10pm in the UK. In a blog post about the announcement, Sony said it could expect “news and updates” about the games coming to the PS5.

“The show highlights an incredible selection of games from creators around the world,” the blog post adds. However, it’s clear that this is not a first-party focus show, but I’m curious that Sony chose not to use the term “first” or “third-party” in its announcement.

In any case, this play state becomes a bit of beef and trapped in at least 40 minutes long. As always, you can watch it live on PlayStation’s official Twitch and YouTube channel.

This week will be extremely busy with events and games being revealed. The Summer Game Fest live opening show is scheduled for Friday, June 6th, with the first edition of IO Interactive’s IOI showcase taking place in the same day several hours later.

Then on Sunday, June 8th, Xbox is in turn to host its own showcase, followed by a dedicated The Outer Worlds 2 Direct, so everything pops out. EA and Ubisoft look to sit this down, but they don’t bet on their rumors and some of the games they’re developing that appear in one (or more) of these shows.
