This is the pitch of the game studio:
Marvel’s Deadpool VR features an entirely new original story. After being pulled through the portal to Mojoworld, Deadpool sees the opportunity to get really rich. He signs a sketchy contract without reading the fine print, then visits many places from the entire Marvel universe, fighting iconic (and not so iconic) villains. It’s a real metaverse thing. In the sense of the Marvel Universe, it’s not something that’s from VR.
Twisted Pixel spent years capturing a unique blend of Deadpool’s parkour and combat, building the truest of Beat M-up, established in the warrior path.
Like any other great VR game, if you can imagine it, you can probably do it. Certainly, you can simply stab and shoot your enemies, but where is the fun in it? Are you punching someone while you’re holding a hand bullet? check. Take your recently exploded arm and throw it at the bad guy? It’s gloss, but I’ll check it out. Do you want to bring enemy faces to a spinning propeller? It’s bloody but efficient. Soldiers, demon dogs, strange humanoid lizards, eerie worm cries, they are all waiting to be torn apart in a creative (sometimes called sadistic) way.
