GTA Online's next update will let you pull off a classic, if slightly dull, type of crime: money laundering

I feel that money laundering is one of the concepts seen in many crime TV shows, but it doesn’t seem to do much in the game. I certainly can’t think of a game that features money laundering as an actual mechanic, but I can add it to the list next week: GTA Online. The multiplayer game got a new update called Money Front on June 17th, and is literally everything about buying a small but generally advantageous business.

There are several companies that can be picked up, but we’ll start with the classic: car washes, specifically car washes. Passive income is generated through this from the crime network, and ultimately you can pick up smoke at the water clinic and at the helitol in Higgins.

However, there are also major scams in many Moola pros. Running these businesses this way generates heat and if it gets too high, they actually have to step in as they pretend to be managing them as legally intended.

There are also some new vehicles you can pick up, such as the Karin Everon RS and the Declasse Tampa GT (muscles). Money Fronts also brings some gameplay tweaks. Over 50 vehicles have missile lock-on-jammer features, double all sources of arena points. Many cutscenes can be skipped in mission replays, but none of them are specified.

More details, at one point, Rockstar just said, “Looking forward to it.” Just wait a few days for it anyway and you’re alive.
