Nintendo Switch 2 users have compiled a large list of original Switch games that can be played on new consoles, as well as technical improvements when players launch them on new hardware.
This list is an extensive list of tested games by user WTFIMDOINGWITHMYLIFE on Nintendo’s official Switch Reddit and are focused on their experiences in comments, both by the original poster and the community of people.
At the time of writing, the list contains 147 games. In addition to these entries, it is whether these games received the Switch 2 patch and whether both FPS, resolution, and load times have not been docked.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is interesting under the hood. Its technical specifications include an 8x ARM Cortex A78C CPU, with DLSS support, and 12GB of LPDDR5X memory. Beyond what the original switch offers, it goes beyond the source of these reports of performance improvements.
It is worth noting that there is no complete performance improvement due to the power difference between the switch and switch 2, as there is more powerful hardware present in the Switch 2. According to the list, the accrued game closes at 30fps, but remains highly consistent. When played on Switch 2, the loading time will also be shorter.
What this means is that many old games that struggled to run well on the Switch have seen new leases in their lives. An example of a game that achieved success on Switch 2 was Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity! It’s a Musou spinoff that sticks to the 30fps cap even without patches.
So now is a great opportunity to break down the catalogue on your back. Additional suggestions include Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and Bayonetta 3. Both have surprisingly benefited from the Switch 2 with great games.
