The first Switch may be one of Nintendo’s most successful consoles of all time, but from a marketing perspective, portable consoles can be a nightmare. A year after the Switch’s lifespan, the console’s first emulator was released, and the floodgates were opened due to copyright infringement. From there, Nintendo controlled the product’s message when it was released. Like a marquee game The Legend of Zelda: The Kingdom’s Tears It leaked a few weeks ago. Nintendo acted quickly to crush the evidence, but the Japanese company couldn’t prevent the entire leak.
However, Nintendo was ready for the Switch 2 release.
As we speak, retailers around the world are receiving two Switch shares in anticipation of the June 5th launch. Images of the backroom with switch 2 boxes are on the internet, with at least one retailer locking the Switch 2 stock open to allow regular customers to see it.
Naturally, this means that future consoles have fallen into the hands of ordinary people. In late May, the circulatory system began to circulate mainly through the Internet. There are plenty of screenshots floating around this leak, but Nintendo moved quickly and neutralised the video uploads of the incident with the help of Web Capio, a company specializing in counter-copyright services.
The Leak Originator then claims that the console will not be functionally useful until June 5th. Others are said to not receive units as Nintendo is working on a Day One patch. According to the Pew Research Center, 79% of households have broadband internet. This means that millions of people may not be able to get two switches out of the box. This issue can be short-lived as updates may be preloaded in future console releases, but in the launch window, a one-day patch should be considered for some consumers. Nintendo did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
There is still plenty of other regular Joe to own the Switch 2, as there is a week left before its release. The two photos are now coming from Russia. For example, it shows what you can expect from a Switch 2 package. At the time of writing, there is also a basic Switch 2 menu video.
Switch 2 is there and there is a lot of chatter around the leak. But realistically, there’s nothing so exciting about sneak peaking with some menus and zero games. If for any reason the game starts leaking, the impact will be minimized. Most games available at release are already out in some way or are not focused on the story. Know who can control Mario Kart World A few days ago, it’s not the same as the final boss of the expected sequel of one of the generation’s most influential games to know who.
Unlike what happened for most of the Switch 1 lifespan, Nintendo appears to be in control of Switch 2 launch plans for the moment.
