All English Pokemon TCG Sets to be held in 2025
The evolution of the prism
release date: January 17, 2025
The evolution of the Prism is the first set of 2025, attracting a lot of hype and focuses on Eevee and its various evolutionary forms. In total, this set includes a whopping 49 secret rares and 55 Pokemon Ex.
Because Prismatic Evolutions is a special set, most of the cards featured are reprints from the past year, but secret rares are specifically excluded. Booster packs can only be found in boxed products.
Although it has already launched its first, more products are being released throughout the year, including the Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection in May and the Premium Figure Collection in September.
Traveling together
release date: March 28, 2025
Journey Together features the owner’s Pokemon returning to TCG. TCG is now known as the trainer Pokemon and made its debut in 2000 with the Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge. They have recently returned several times with Team Plasma Cards on Gen 5.
This set features regular Pokemon along with trainer Pokemon, the latter featuring Hop’s Zacian, Iono’s Belivolt, Lily’s Cleef, and N’s Zoroark.
Journey Together is the first main Pokemon TCG set of 2025 in the West, with a pack that can be purchased specifically from retailers and full booster boxes. Other products include elite trainer boxes, triple blisters and booster bundles.
Fateful Rival
release date: May/June 2025
This year, a new Team Rocket set has appeared in Pokemon TCG, revealing the title of “Fateful Rivals.” The highlight is, of course, the return of Team Rocket Pokemon. However, as before, it will not be entitled “Dark Pokemon.”
This set features the glory of the Japanese Heat Wave Arena cards and the Team Rocket set, returning to the conventional approach of the English set, combining the two Japanese sets.
Black and white set
release date: TBC
Little is known about the new Pokemon Black and white Theme set is scheduled to be released later this year. This could be the second special set of 2025 after the evolution of the prism. In that case, the pack will only be available for boxed products.
This set includes Japanese black bolts and white flare cards with all 156 UNOVA Pokemon. For this reason, the set has already won comparisons with the Uber-Popular 151 set since September 2023.

The glory of Team Rocket
release date: April 18, 2025
Team Rocket’s glory continued in April at Heat Wave Arena, with the main highlight being Rocket’s Mewtwo Ex. Unlike the previous Team Rocket set, there is no “Dark Pokemon.” Instead, Rocket Pokemon works just like trainer Pokemon.
This set could be combined with Heat Wave Arena to create a second international set in 2025.

Black bolts and white flares
release date: June 6, 2024
The Black Bolt and White Flare feature all 156 UNOVA Pokemon, with the highlights being Reshiram and Zekrom, which we expect to resemble the incredibly popular 151 Kanto set of 2023. So far, little details are known.
Continuing the trend from the glory of Battle Partners, Heat Wave Arena and Team Rocket, we were able to see more trainer Pokemon featured.

Mega Brave & Mega Symphony
release date: TBC
As reported by Pokebeach, the new trademarks of Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia by Pokémon match the same terminology as those used in the previous set names. The dates for this set have not been confirmed, but it may be the July set in Japan.
The set name appears to refer to Mega Evolutions, which makes the long-awaited return. The Legend of Pokemon: ZA Later this year, this could be the first tie-in set of the game. If so, it could be released after the game itself.
