Creative Assembly has officially announced Total War: Medieval III, returning to the beloved medieval setting with modern technology and design philosophy. The game features a completely redesigned battle system that emphasizes tactical positioning and unit morale more than ever before. Siege warfare has been dramatically enhanced, with destructible fortifications and realistic siege equipment. The campaign map spans from Iceland to India, featuring over 50 playable factions each with unique units and mechanics. Diplomacy has been expanded significantly, allowing for complex alliances, trade agreements, and political marriages. The game utilizes a new engine that delivers stunning visuals while maintaining the series' trademark massive battles. Release is planned for late 2025.
