Battlefield communities and general shooter fans have not yet done their job on news about the upcoming battlefield. The game has not yet been revealed or given a proper title.
However, as Battlefield Labs playtest continues, there are more and more leaks, and this latest batch offers a compelling theory about the timing of the next major moment in the game.

The dice was intended to be used to test controversial changes to the class system, making it a lot of noise about the latest 72-hour battlefield lab playtest. Many of the Battlefield community were looking forward to being selected for that test.
Impressions are beginning to appear online, but this test revealed something else that players are very excited about. Following that conclusion, I checked the game tiles and said, “This game hasn’t been released yet. Please wait until the official release date (2025-06-17) or the date you plan to install it (2025-06-17).”
Now, the chances of the next battlefield being released are very unlikely, but the date is particularly interesting for a number of reasons.
First, at the end of the test, the player received a message that the game key had been cancelled. This means that you will need to sign up again if you want to participate in future tests. This is unusual as up until now, anyone invited at every stage could take part in all the tests.
The next test also shows that it could be much larger and overflowing with labs outside of Battlefield. Given the June 17th date above, players believe this is when the game’s wider – more open alpha or beta test begins. The Battlefield Game held a playtest last summer, so that’s another reason to believe that theory.
As Summer Game Fest kicks off next week, the game will be revealed at the show’s opening ceremony on June 6th, with a message guiding players to sign up for the June 17th test. As EA has not held its own summer event this June, it makes sense for publishers to use larger platforms like Summer Game Fest to present their games.
EA recently confirmed that the next battlefield will be announced in the summer, so none of it is stretching. Of course, it’s worth taking salt in a pinch. Updates of these types of games in development are common and do not necessarily reflect what we should expect. It may have been a plan at some point, but plans will change.
The good news is that the summer game fest isn’t too far away, and the aforementioned June 17th date isn’t that late. At least we’ll be hearing something over the next few weeks.
