Elden Ring Nightreign gets a pre-day one patch to deliver some cheeky last minute build tweaking before your first steps in Limveld, and offer advice on some PC issues

The Elden Ring Nightreign will be announced tomorrow on May 30th. So waiting for us to try something we think is pretty good is over. Before jumping on the classic ER and fighting the final battle of Marenia, it’s worth checking out the content of version 1.01, the first patch of the game.

You can check the full notes for version 1.01 if you wish, but GIST is what you expect for one patch per day, except for advice on how to troubleshoot some technical issues that may run on your PC, depending on the exact hardware.

“This update brings improved gameplay and stability, ensuring the best experience for your first step in Limveld,” writes Big Bandai Namco, outlines that the patch includes “improvements to playable character handling,” balance adjustments, text adjustments, and added character scenarios. There’s also a soundtrack added, so you’ll need to have lots of tunes for Bangin’s boss Batlin, and there’s a normal bug fix.

Do you want more details than that? Well, suck it up. These are Eldenling patch notes, and should be read between the lines as they do in all that lore. Maybe if you’re lucky, I’ll get the video in 5 years and explain that this patch actually had deeper meaning over 5 very good times.

That said, there are a few things related to the problem with KNOPWN on your PC. If you are on that platform and you are unable to start the game or are similar when you are similar, it may be helpful to check the integrity of the files via the properties menu in your Steam library. The complete instruction flow for that is: Go to Library > Right-click Elden Ring Nightreign > (Properties) > (Installed Files) and run “Check Game File Integrity”.

Meanwhile, Fotsoft wrote: “It has been confirmed that some PC configurations with modern graphics cards can cause frame rate drops. Currently, if you experience a large amount of frame rate drop, you can resolve this by setting the graphics settings from the default ‘H’ to ‘Medium’ or ‘Low’.

So it’s pretty standard to try right away from the gate to see if it solved the toothing problem while waiting for Studio RO to deploy a full fix.

If you abuse Marenia again, why not read the Nightreign review that outlines why Connor loved it despite being a “strange beast.” If your focus helps you imagine him as the lead singer of Evanescence and imagine the game as a man who screams “I can’t wake up!”, then bit.
