Special armament strengthening
Normally you use Smithing Stones and Runes to upgrade weapons from one tier to the next, but neither of this process is required. However, it is subject to certain random in-game conditions, so not all runs can do so.
Crater shift earth events must occur during execution. This event will be unlocked by defeating Gladius, the Beast of the Night. Once you have accepted the Crater event, go through it until you finally defeat the final boss of Magma WYRM. Unlike the regular Smith table you are used to, you will find a special armed enhancement table.
This special armed strengthening table upgrades the general (white), green (green), or unusual (purple) directly to legendary (gold) without having to pass through the middle layer. Furthermore, legendary weapons created in this particular way do not have minimum level requirements, so you may use the weapon well before the normal requirements of Level 10 for rewarded legendary weapons that can be dropped from the boss.
Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade multiple weapons to Legendary on a run-by-run basis, so choose carefully when doing so each time.
