Elden Ring: Nightreign – main boss order

What order should you fight against the main boss of Eldenling: nightreign? Night Road is some of the most frightening bosses, especially as Nightreign’s entirety appears to be based on the question, “What if you’re back to the boss after 40 minutes after Dying Dying?” These main bosses demand that they not only do their best in battle, but also survive and thrive in both days of expeditions. Whether you’re soloing or a team of three night furs, it’s not an easy task. And if you die, you cannot immediately retry like the bosses of Eldenling on various bases.

The Night Road is powerful and spectacular, and is undoubtedly Eldenling’s main boss: nightreign. However, if you are struggling with progress in various expeditions, you may need to follow a more sensible boss order than what the game presents on the expedition menu. Below you can find us Recommended main boss orders for All 8 Night Roads in Eldenling: Nightfridge.

Elden Ring: Nitlin’s main boss order

The main bosses in Nightreign are presented in a specific order in the game when selecting an expedition, but this is not a recommended order. Below are the recommended Night Road Boss orders to help you tilt the difficulty more gradually over time.

Recommended main boss orders:

  1. Gladius, the Beast of the Night (Tricephalos)
  2. Maris, Faton at night (Auger)
  3. Adele, the Baron of the Night (Jaw gap)
  4. Gnoster, night wisdom (Sensory pests)
  5. Karigo, Miasma at night (Crack in the mist)
  6. Libra, night creatures (Equilibrium beast)
  7. Fulghor, Night Glow Champion (DarkDrift Knight)
  8. Night / Hyorstar, Night Road Shape (Night side)

This is the recommended order if you are playing nightreagn in multiplayer. However, these bosses’ challenge levels change when they are playing in solo mode instead. If you’re playing single playerLibra is very easy and Gnoster is pretty difficult. So if you’re playing solo through bosses, we recommend swapping these two night roads in the above order.

No matter what, you need to defeat Gladius first. Because you only have the Tricephalos Expedition available to you at the start of the Night Grain playthrough. Defeating Gladius not only unlocks all but all other bosses, but also unlocks the short questlines that unlock and launch Hidden Duchess and Revenant Charesser.

1. Gladius, the Beast of the Night

A trio of Nightfarrers (Irony, Wider and Duchess) are billed towards Gradius: Nightlyleun, Eldenling's three dog boss.
  • expedition: Tricephalos
  • Night 1 Boss: Bel Bearing Hunter, Demi Human
  • Night 2 Boss: A sign, tree sentinel
  • Weakness: holy
  • Unlock: Available from the beginning
  • Easy solo? : Yes, it’s a little easier on solo
  • Recommended Night Farrer: iRoneye, Raider, Guardian

Gladius can unleash other expeditions after defeating Gladius, so the Knight of Night of Night will always be the first major boss. The killer part is that Gladius isn’t the easiest night road to actually face (but that’s one of them). A very mobile three-dog with a large range of swing chain blades, Gladius can easily sneak attacks when you’re not expecting, especially when it comes with multiplayer confusion.

It is particularly dangerous in the cyclical alternative stage where it is converted into three separate dogs, with the leader wrapping the other two in a single target. Luckily, this opens up two major weaknesses of Gladius. First: Sacred Damage Surprises an individual dog very easily. Second: If you can make a powerful attack on two or all three dogs at once, you will deal two (or three) damage with one attack. This makes Ironey, Raider and Guardian Ultimates extremely powerful against Tricephalos’ night roads.

2. Maris, Faton at night

Close-up of Maris, Night Road like Eldenling's floating blue alien: Night League.
  • expedition: Auger
  • Night 1 Boss: Fragment Dragon, Grafted Monarch, Wormface
  • Night 2 Boss: Fully grown falling star beast, wooden sentinel
  • Weakness: lightning
  • Unlock: Complete the Tricephalos Expedition
  • Easy solo? : No, multiplayer is easy
  • Recommended Night Farrer: Recluse, iRoneye, Raider

Maris, Fathom of Night, is recommended to face immediately after beating Gladius. Maris is an elegant alien creature that floats in the air everywhere and gives you sleep everywhere, resembling the spirit of its ancestors and the Elden Beast. This Night Road battle is relatively quiet, intentional and easy to read. And it makes it much easier to understand exactly what’s going on and what you have to do.

If you want the easiest time to defeat Maris, you will need to choose a powerful ranged character like Recluse or iRoneye, but it is not necessary. You can do it at night fat whenever it drops – and in fact, you should really do when it sinks into the fetal position on the ground, as it is the only way to avoid the massive (and often fatal) accumulation of sleep that occurs. Being familiar with this flow and talking about this boss’s battle is easier than any other Night Road.

3. Adele, the Baron of the Night

Adele, the boss of Eldenling's Night Road, is swallowed by purple lightning, repeated to charge with the player's team.
  • expedition: A gaping chin
  • Night 1 Boss: Night Cavalry X2, Brave Gargoyle, Worm Face
  • Night 2 Boss: Ancient Dragon, the Crucible Knights/Golden Hippopotamus, Outfield Commander
  • Weakness: poison
  • Unlock: Complete the Tricephalos Expedition
  • Easy solo? : Equal
  • Recommended Night Farrer: Irony, the Enforcer, Duchess

Adele from Night of Baron offers a good introduction to how the Night Road boss battle is chaotic. This giant reptile boss lacks the bounty of the show from Maris.

Players who have problems with ulcerated tree spirits or bosses that destroy other cameras may have problems here, but it’s not too bad if you’re used to Adele’s move set. If you are struggling, you can keep the boss far along with iRoneye and use markings to avoid its charging attacks. But as long as you’re a little more confident, even his explosive second stage, Adele can pretty surely avoid it. It may be shocking to consider the very different style of the system moving from Maris to Adele, but I think it’s most likely that the jaw expedition will be beaten most easily after Toricephalos and Auger.

4. Gnoster, night wisdom

Close-up of Gnoster, the giant moth boss of Eldenling: Night League, a giant black insect-style creature floating in the night sky above its companion.
  • expedition: Sensory pests
  • Night 1 Boss: The Commander of the Battlefield, Centipede Demon, Smelter Demon, Tibia Mariner, Ulcerated Tree Spirit
  • Night 2 Boss: Draconic Tree Sentinel, Great Will, Knox Dragonkin Soldier
  • Weakness: fire
  • Unlock: Complete the Tricephalos Expedition
  • Easy solo? : No, multiplayer is easy
  • Recommended Night Farrer: iRoneye, Raider, Recluse

Gnoster, Wisdom of Night takes the form of a giant, toxic moth that flies around about casting magical attacks on your team. Like Gladius, the good news is that both creatures can be damaged and contribute to the same boss health bar. However, while the first stage of Gnoster is the simple question of keeping the scorpion busy while attacking Moss in range, the second phase of Night Road makes for a much bigger challenge than the innocent Trispharos era, where two creatures relentlessly recharge.

Fire is the key to winning this boss battle quickly, but keep in mind that it is only Moth who has been damaged by the extra fire. iRoneye should be very home here and only interested in harassing Moth and avoiding Scorpion. His teammates need to focus on keeping the scorpion’s attention and punishing it every time they avoid it. Things will be much more difficult in Phase 2, but as always, the problem is to steadily come up with ways to get through each new attack. Still, in the second phase here, the second phase where Gnoster is placed on top of everything so far makes upward spikes difficult.

5. Karigo, Miasma at night

Close-up of the giant Dragon Night Road Karigo in Elden Ring: Night League, spread the ring and roamed in ice magic.
  • expedition: Cracks in the mist
  • Night 1 Boss: Grafted Monarch, Smelter Devil, Duke’s Dear Freja, Tibiah Mariner, Ulcerated Tree Spirit
  • Night 2 Boss: Northern Valley Dancers, Draconic Tree Sentinel, God Skin Duo
  • Weakness: fire
  • Unlock: Complete the Tricephalos Expedition
  • Easy solo? : No, it’s a little easier in multiplayer
  • Recommended Night Farrer: Wider, Guardian, Recluse

Karigo, Miasma at Night is a battle in the Night Grain in my personal favorite main boss battle. Aside from the perfect vibe, the giant white dragon creates a very easy-to-read target. Still, Karigo’s infinite gusts of wind can reach across the arena and quickly cut off the health bar with two, which has many attacks designed to stop you from doing the normal anti-dragon strategy of hiding behind your back and pounding until it falls. You can still do it (and should) but it’s difficult.

Karigo has many ways that Karigo can catch off guard unless he’s been playing against him many times before. The speed at which you can accumulate frostbite on you is pretty scary, especially in that more aggressive second phase. Therefore, it is highly recommended to take advantage of the summit rewards whenever it is available before the cracks in the fog expedition are finished.

6. Libra, night creatures

Libra close-up, Night Road boss in Eldenling: confronting the camera and reminding me of the magic that causes madness.
  • expedition: A balanced beast
  • Night 1 Boss: The Centipede Devil, Dear Freja of Duke, Tibia Mariner, Royal Renavent
  • Night 2 Boss: Crucible Knight/Golden Hippopotamus, Death Rite Bird, Godskin Duo
  • Weakness: Madness
  • Unlock: Complete the Tricephalos Expedition
  • Easy solo? : Yes, it’s pretty easy on a solo
  • Recommended Night Farrer: Raider, Ironye, Wylder

Libra, Night Creatures are charming bosses. I feel that Libra is designed more for multiplayer than any other night lord. So, when playing as a full team, Libra is actually Nightreign, one of the most difficult boss fights in all of Elden Ring. All three must focus on hypers on the equal beast’s hand movements. Because they telegraph attacks that clash with a terrifyingly powerful insanity. It’s Tanky, aggressive, difficult to read, and more than it can remove your health after one mistake.

That may not be what you expect, but if you are struggling with Libra, I highly recommend fighting him in solo mode instead. Solo makes all Libra attacks easier to read. There are far fewer tanky keys than multiplayer. And it cannot utilize the inspiring “teleport and explode” spell. In any case, it is best to use Raider to break calm and/or use Ironeye to do ranged chip damage. And if you’re lucky if you can come across it on your run, it will bring a lot of status effects, especially insanity.

7. Full Hol, Night Glow Champion

Close-up of the Nightline, one of the bosses of Fullhor, Dark Drift Knight and Eldenling's main night road: one centaur who swings his blade to the left and winds up the arena with his Golden Aura.
  • expedition: DarkDrift Knight
  • Night 1 Boss: Dragon in the gap, X2 of the night, Royal Renavent, Valiant Gargoyle, Wormface
  • Night 2 Boss: The Unknown King, Knox Dragonkin Soldier, Outfield Commander
  • Weakness: lightning
  • Unlock: Complete the Tricephalos Expedition
  • Easy solo? : Equal
  • Recommended Night Farrer: The Duchess, the Enforcer, iRoneye

Night Glow champion, Fullhor, presents a real challenge to the majority of Night Towing players when they first meet. The second most difficult boss in the game, this oversized one-arm centaur is pretty easy to read, at least at first compared to Adele and Libra, but the speed, reach and potential damage in the full hole are extremely punishing.

Using lightning bolts and status effects like lightning bolts and poison, it is certainly difficult, but it is not an insurmountable challenge to scrape off the full holl health bar midway through. But at this point it develops a scary left arm and unlocks a very wide-ranging effect splash attack that can turn the entire screen into purple mess when the full goal turns your gaze to you. This boss has Libra’s aggressiveness, Gladius’ speed, and a health pool that is higher than either. It’s a serious challenge and everyone’s experiences are different so you wouldn’t be surprised if Full Hol gave many players the most difficult Night Grain boss fight.

8. Night / Velster shape, Night Road

Eldenling Player: Night Lindon will face the final boss, Huhlstar, in a desolate night arena.
  • expedition: The side of the night
  • Night 1 Boss: One boss at any night
  • Night 2 Boss: Two bosses for any night
  • Weakness: holy
  • Unlock: Complete 4 different expeditions
  • Easy solo? : No, multiplayer is easy
  • Recommended Night Farrer: Feast, Ironeye, Guardian

The Knight Shape (later Heolstor, The Nightlord) is Nightrign’s final boss, locked only after defeating at least four other Nightlords. This means you can technically beat the Night Aspect Expedition before you beat everything else, but the recommendation from a narrative and challenge perspective is to wait until you do everything else before facing one true Night Road.

Heolstor is like a raised full-hole with a formidable balance of speed, range and incredible damage, with incredible damage that can disrupt the expedition of experienced players. In this battle, there’s quite a lot to learn, as both the Knight Form shape and the True form of Hiolster have two separate phases, each with its own set of moves. Also, high resistance has a state effect that is less rot and poisonous than other night lords. It’s a long battle and a battle where no one on your team can disappoint their guards for a while. I think Fullhor and Libra ran in second and third place, but in our opinion, Heolstor is the most challenging boss on Nightrign.

This is Nightreign’s recommended main boss order.
