Elden Ring Nightreign's been out less than a day, and a Souls legend is already showing off a duos mod demo for it, because of course they are

Boy, it escalated quickly. Elden Ring Nightreign, as I write this, was less than a day. So of course someone has already put out a video showing the Duos mod.

To be fair, I think the Nightreign developers definitely threw Gauntlet into the Fromsoft Modding community when the game director admitted that Duos Play was not a major focus on development, but would only get TLC further down.

Anyway, Modder Yui is the same person as the Elden Ring’s seamless cooperative mod and the various brothers in other Fromsoft games, but he is the one who was able to whip this in the Uber-Quick way.

The video below where IGN is discovered shows a mod that allows you to dive into a Nightrign session with just two players, instead of the usual three or one bewildered solo soul serge, which takes much easier time when the next patch drops.

“It’s possible to use additional mods during gameplay as changes are performed without connecting to a matchmaking server,” Yui explained in his VID description, adding, “I made it for fun.”

At this time, they have not made this mod public. If they’re going to need a lot of extra grafts to fine-tune things like balance and they’re going to reveal it, I imagine if they’re going to reveal it, I’m going to reveal it, I’m going to imagine – tweak things like balance – being the main thing from the soft, I had to work to make sure the game worked for solo players as well as the trio.
