Elden Ring Nightreign's latest patch casually nerfs a couple of things, but the Demon Merchant will now spawn when they should

Today, Elden Ring Nightrign Servers went offline for an hour of maintenance to prepare for the release of a new patch. This shows that it is not large because it is small in size with version number 1.01.2.

The patch has a few bug fixes, but the most influential change is Nalf – at least for one of them, you may not be aware that it is happening.

Nightreign’s patch 1.01.2 continues from last week’s 1.01.1. This arrived on June 2nd. However, unlike that, there are no important features or important additions to look forward to. There are two balance changes worth highlighting in 1.01.2.

First, there was a bug that caused a passive effect that “added magic/lightning/holy things to weapons” and increased physical attack power beyond what was intended. However, this only affected the bow, which is particularly interesting as it is a weapon player that has been attracted to in recent weeks.

Part of that was due to the perceived increase in power in the bow, so if it was a result of a currently fixed bug, it would stab. Another change worth cultivating is yet another tweak of balance. Non-directional attacks using certain weapon skills will inflict attribute attack power, and even stat illness. This was clearly not intended action, and perhaps these weapons were much stronger than expected. That has also been fixed.

Elsewhere in the patch notes there are fixes that require weapons with reduced projectile damage to be reduced as passives are in the chest booty pool, causing enemies to be killed. Those working on their Find The Demon Merchant in Limveld Quest will be pleased to know that the merchant in question will now be revived when they are supposed to be.

Here is the complete changelog:

  • Fixed a bug where passive effects were added to (magic/lightning/holy) weapons.
  • Fixed a bug where non-directional attacks on skills of certain weapons would damage attribute attack power and weapon status illness.
  • Fixed a bug where weapons with “reduced projectile damage” had a passive effect.
  • Fixed a bug where the Devil Merchant would not appear when some conditions were met during the Personal Purpose of Guardian Memory: “Find the Devil Merchant of Linveld.”
  • Fixed a bug where Libra, Creature of Night, was repeatedly performed several actions.
  • Fixed a bug that made the game unstable under some circumstances during the battle with Adele, the Baron at Night.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented dying players from being able to save after being grabbed by a Wormface grab attack.

The developers have finished the patch notes saying that the patch fixes some bugs, but that players may encounter “similar issues” in certain situations, but are working on fixing them as well. It’s not clear whether it can trigger the exact same bug or just a few other bugs completely.

We hope that today’s downtime will not delay players’ efforts to figure out what the deal with Nightrign’s rarest items is. However, whether it’s downtime or not, our fantastic Eldenling Night League guide will never go offline, so hit it for answers to any questions you may have.
