Abandoned fortress It’s the first area (which is definitely a technology dungeon, but not Really) You’ll enter The Legend of Zelda: Windowwaker. For many, it is a terrible memory. It’s a painful process if you’re forced to use stealth without having an actual weapon in hand.
Luckily I played Windowwaker To help you. (And honestly, the good news is that this dungeon isn’t as bad as I remember, so that’s the same for you.)
Below is a walkthrough on how to pass the first visit of an abandoned fortress Windowwakerhow to turn off all three spotlights, and where to climb the fortress.
note that This walkthrough is for the Nintendo GameCube version of the gameAlso, if you have a membership in the Nintendo Switch Online + expansion pack, it can also be played on the Nintendo Switch 2. This walkthrough May Working with the remaster version (The Legend of Zelda: Windowwaker HD For Wii u), there may be differences between the two versions, so be aware if you are using the latter.
Abandoned fortress explained
You will be launched onto this horrific island full of monsters, and Hyrule has the most evil. And your sword will fly into the distance. wonderful! This situation allows you to use stealth techniques to navigate to the end of this area. Instead of running with three hearts and swords, in A-Blazin’ you will need to sneak up, turn off the three spotlights, climb the fortress and find your sister.
Forsaken Fortress Spotlights can be actually tackled in any order, but I have listed them in the order they found most useful.
Forsaken Fortress Spotlight #1
Just outside the boat, go straight down the road until you see a flat area with red rupee and spotlights. In the case of the Rupee Devil, you can use nearby barrels to hide from the spotlight and grab the Rupee. However, you can also turn off all the spotlights and wait until they come back later.
Even if you’re not grabbing the rupee, you’ll still need a barrel to climb the stairs. Grab one, then turn right, ignore the huge doors in the flat area and continue down the path.

Ignore the hallways that can be reached indoors and continue to follow the path upwards. A ladder will appear leading to the first spotlight set at the top. Head over there and get ready to take out the Bokoblin.

Follow Tetra’s instructions to use the shield to block Bokobrin attacks. This will ultimately allow you to drop the weapon. You can then pick it up and use it against them. There is also a vase filled with sticks nearby. (Open the vase and use one of the many sticks to take out the Bokoblin.) After doing this, the first spotlight will be taken care of.
Forsaken Fortress Spotlight #2
For the second spotlight, we recommend strategically stopping by the shelf from the spotlight above. Here’s the redux in the image above, but with a new location in mind.

Drop down into those huge doors and head inwards. Once inside, you’ll be chased by a laser, so you’ll immediately roll and open your chest inside the yellow rupee (equivalent to 10 rupees).
Use a ladder to climb the bed on the left side of the room and head towards the door on the right (but do not jump over the platform).
Now you’re back in one of the outdoor corridors. Exit through the opening on the right and climb the ladder to reach the second spotlight.

You know the drill: block attacks, pick up enemy sticks, beat them.
At this point, you are advised to be caught by the enemy and will be put in prison. This can be done quickly by getting caught up in the spotlight, or entering a large door in a flat area (what you initially told to ignore), and then coming across a moblin that will take you to prison. Most of the indoor corridors in this area have these moblins, so it should take much time to be thrown into prison.

Forsaken Fortress Spotlight #3
As you’re in prison, you have the rest of the spotlight and a fairly straight shot in the final area of the abandoned fortress where you don’t have to find a ladder and get confused.
From the prison, jump up onto the table and then over the bookshelf. Open the vase and display the exit. (Amazing, classic Zelda movement.) I used the R to crack the holes.
Following the only open path, Dungeon Map internal. yay!

Optional: Heart #1
Please jump off this platform before continuing. In the corner of the prison there is a switch obscure with barrels in the corner of the room.

Activate the switch, head to the prison cell and grab the first heart from the chest.
Once you’ve finished here, head into the hallway and get caught up in the moblin again and head back to prison.
Use the skills you learn on a pirate ship to jump on a nearby hanging lantern and rock. Enter the door on the right and run straight – you already have two spotlights outside so you can just keep going.
This room has a chest straight behind some barrels. Get that open crack compass.

Use your lantern to jump and swing halfway through and enter the door. You’ll be outside again!
Turn left into the opening of the outdoor corridor and walk along the sloped path to reach the third spotlight. There is another ladder with a gap between the ladder and the tokoro, and for now there is a negligible floor.

Yes, yes. Climb the latter and use your own weapon to hit Bokoblin, disabling the third spotlight.
Once you’ve finished here, head back to the outdoor corridor you’ve come out and head north.
Climbing into an abandoned fortress
You should go back to yet another room that looks like the previous room. As usual, swing across the gap in the hanging light and enter the door on the other side.
Turn left and press down on the wooden frame. This will return the shortcut to the first flat area. If you’ve been hoping for those red rupees for a while, but stealth was lazy through it, you can grab them now.
After grabbing the rupee (or not), continue straight down the outdoor corridor that comes out. Shortcut scenes play with roaming moblins and giant doors.
If you have the patience, you will need to use the barrel on the left to sneak up on the side of the moblin. Walk as their backs are facing you and stop moving as they look at you. If they catch you, you’ll be back to prison, so you’ll want to be quite careful here.

By the door, you can unlock the barrel and proceed. You’ll be back outside. Climb the stairs and use the barrel directly at the top of the stairs to pass through another moblin sniffing around. Once you’ve reached the moblin enough, remove the barrel and run the route.
You will ultimately hit this gap:

Jump down and press down on the wooden frame by the ladder to create another shortcut here. Return the ladder to the gap. Head towards the wall and sway along the wall, using small shelves to carefully cross the gap.

You will eventually hit another shelf with all your heart on it. They are lined up on the same side as before. He climbs the stairs and crosses an ominous hole in the ground to retrieve his sword and fights the green moblin. If you have your sword in your hand, that shouldn’t be a big deal. Take it out and head towards the big door for the finale to play.
So you ended with this visit to the abandoned fortress! You’ll come back (in fact several times), so don’t miss it too much.
