One of the most confusing aspects of Elden Ring Nightrign’s design has little to do with the mechanics within the game, or the load of important information the game doesn’t convey.
No, it relates to the mechanics of the characters’ quests and how players advance them for each different class of the game. However, the situation may improve from today onwards, as fixes have been implemented.

If you’re not used to the Nightrign quest structure, here’s how it works: After playing with one character several times, you will gain the ability to start Remembrance. This is essentially a character quest.
The important details here are that these quests are supposed to take place during normal execution. So, you’ll go out to activate your memory and get the opportunity to do what you want so you can reach the next step.
However, when a player is discovered shortly after launching, having an active that remembers memory will put you in another matchmaking pool that will match you with others who are doing their quests. In reality, it made matchmaking time so long that players were unable to finish their memories and only went solo to avoid that confusion. This appears to be a bug that fromSoftware fixes today.
At the time of writing, the Nightrign server has been offline for 2 hours for maintenance. This is specifically aimed at “improving matchmaking for expeditions with active memory,” according to FromSoftware.
Maintenance is finished and the server needs to come back online 3am, 6am, 11am in the UKassume that the developer does not need to extend that window. You need to see if this corrects matchmaking time.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t solve the problem of having no way to tell other players that they are working on exploring their characters. Some of their requirements send you off the beaten path and make you seem to abandon your team.
Hopefully, a bigger solution is on the way, and at least creates a more transparent experience for everyone. Until such times, our Mega Elden Ring Nightreign Guide will remain one of the most useful things you read.
I recently updated it on a new page to help me take on DarkDrift Knight and The Night Aspect – The Night – Lightlord Bosses. If your builds are more of yours, check out these builds from Wylder.
