Of all the new enemies, this was brought when players unfolded into war-torn streets on their home planet during the Feart of Democracy Update in Helldivers 2.
It’s in the sky, but you, your fellow Heldy Bar, and the sailors you may have recruited, are on the ground. People initially struggled to light up the airborne, but this is HD2. Of course, we are now at the stage where at least one player understands how to surf over them through the megacity.

The player in question, Reddit user Beautiful-Injury7738, shares several different clips of them while riding on a Leviathan, waving the Super Earth flag for democracy.
“I spent more than I wanted to admit setting up this,” they wrote about the first clip. As you can see, they were able to scale the antennas in some way through the hoverpack Stratagem Parkour. Once at the top, the flying buddies don’t have weapons attached to take things out on top, so they can happily stay there without slipping or being shot.
Sadly, there appears to be no weakness to allow players who could do this to take Leviathan out of it and then try to survive the rapid descent that follows. In that first clip, Beautiful-Injury7738 tries to stab a layer of Super Earth flags added to the back of Flying Basti by the Ceremony Masters of Warbond, but to no avail. They will eventually ride it outside the combat zone and are automatically blown away by the bit for escape.
In their second attempt, they tried Thermite explosives and flamethrowers, but neither can be used to retrieve one of the above beasts. “It’s so much fun. There’s only one building that can be consistently scaled in the hoverpack,” Summary the Supersurfer.
Naturally, their fellow divers sang praise and took showers with dune memes. This is not the first time a player in Helldivers 2 has found a way to surf on vehicle-style enemies that he previously found difficult to extract – surfing on factory striders was trending last year
Furthermore, mechanical riding was before that. They are skilled rodeo riders, these heldy bars.
