Finally, fans of Dune Awakening can expect a dedicated live stream showing off the real meat of MMO: The Endgame. This event covers what players do once they are going through the story and prepare themselves for the deep desert.
Streams that will be published on official Funcom platforms, such as the studio’s Twitch page, are May 28th 12pm ET / 6pm / 5pm / 9pm / 9am. It’s titled “Beyond the Beta: A glimpse of mid-endgame Livestream,” so hopefully you’ll see a little more than the usual early game zones you’ve seen thanks to previews and recent weekend betas.

So far, here’s what you know about mid-to-end games so far: Players need to choose Atredie and Harkkonen, knowing that player-run guilds can compete for faction hegemony through the Landslad System. We know that by winning Landsrad, we provide a powerful buff to the winning faction, and that the main push in Endgame is to win all of that cycles. In terms of actual gameplay, players head to the deep desert, where they can harvest spices in the vast open PVP regions of the world.
But here is something we don’t know. We really don’t know what players use that spice. I’m assuming you’ll make a lot of money, what are you spending it on? Shiny gear, better vehicles for future spices to run, expected cooler houses, what else are there? Do you have a typical live service weekly mission model that encourages people to get involved in different parts of the game? What about unlockable customizations? How do you distinguish between fresh characters just reaching Endgame and powerful Spice Barons with plenty of dosh?
I hope all of this, all of this, will be revealed in this upcoming live stream. If you want to check out Dune Awakening when it’s released next month, it’s definitely worth tuning!
