Following the release of Project Century During the 2024 Game Awards, like Sega and Dragon Developers, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio appeared at Summer Game Fest 2025 with a new trailer, a new era and a new name. A stranger than heaven. The first trailer looked like the early 20th century judgementa detective wandered around a 1914 Japanese city in a rainy place. A stranger than heavenThe latest trailer for this is similar to RGG Studio’s efforts black.
A detective named Dako Daito is in a frivolous search for clues to unknown mystery in a flashy city filled with overloaded, charming nightclubs, wild street fighting, shady Tennessee and lost people pursuing high streets soaked in neon. RGG Studio appears to be digging into survival and simulation elements more than usual. In one short shot, Mako holds the cigarette in such a way that the on-screen tooltip pops up, pronounces “increasing immeasurable hostility when smoking.” He has the studio’s first hunger and thirst meter and makes a brief decision about what to do in difficult situations, such as whether to show the mercy of a dangerous enemy.
When Mako meets an American who is surprised that she is Japanese, the trailer ends, ending with a dramatic declaration from the detective. Action and settings may be unusual for RGG studios, Yakuza– Something like melodrama remains the same.
I was given Project Century The codename and the fact that the new trailer have moved forward in time for 30 years seems a safe bet to assume that the story unfolds throughout the century. RGG had little else to say A stranger than heaven And I’ve previously recommended that no one even try to understand what the game is.
A stranger than heaven It is scheduled to be released in 2026.
