Monster Hunter Wilds' Street Fighter collaboration is all about Akuma

Capcom officially announced that if all the teasers weren’t clear enough, the first Monster Hunter Wild collaboration event would be no one except Street Fighter. Collaboration events offer Capcom the opportunity to bring elements and characters from other games into the wild.

The Monster Hunter series certainly isn’t a stranger of such things, and this seems to follow in the same footsteps.

First off, the Monster Hunter Wild X Street Fighter event will start next week, Wednesday. May 28th. Capcom didn’t say anything else to expect from the update itself, but it is expected to arrive along with the free patch version 1.011.

For the Street Fighter event, we’ll introduce Akuma to Wilds. This update adds new side missions and gains material that allows you to create gear from collaboration events.

Side missions are available in Hunter Rank 21 and up, making them quite accessible to most players. You can pick it up from the Quinn in the Oilwell Basin Base Camp. There are three rewards that you can create as part of this collaboration.

It comes with the Akuma Full Armor set and lawyer equipment, the Blanka-chan full armor set for Palico and tiered equipment. There is also a background, nameplate, pose and title for the Hunter Profile. Everything is a new design.

The mission itself unlocks two new arena quests. It’s the strength and true strength of the devil. This provides more ways to get the material you need to create all your gear. Of course, it’s not a collaboration without paid cosmetics, so I’m looking forward to the new DLC in the store.

It is all Street Fighter 6 theme and includes two costumes for Alma, Chunri or Cammy, three gestures – Hadken, Shoryuken, Tatsumaki senpu-kyaku – sticker set, Branda-chan’s doll pendant.
