According to a recent Shift Up Investor Relations presentation, Stellar Blade will get a sequel “before 2027”. I’m assuming it probably means 2026. Regardless of how it’s framed, that’s great news as it means that the best action games released in 2024 get a little more love (yeah, I said that).
This Investor Relations presentation contains a lot of interesting information that is worth working with if you are interested in the health of your company. However, in this story, I am interested in Slide 19, which shows the “highly visible IP extension.”

In this graph, you can see the star blades represented in their own sections, indicating that the star blade IP gives you a bar labeled “Platform Extension” and “Sequel.” This bar is a mysterious entry entitled “Project Witches” and is likely to be working on a new IP Shift Up. Before 2027, the ongoing success of Nikke and Stellar Blade’s stellar performance seems to have kept developers busy.
Frankly, it wouldn’t have happened to a better game. When Project Eve was first shown during Sony’s play in 2022, I was all bored and cheered, but about God of Waragna Rock, I think, “Hey, this Project Eve looks cool, I want to hear more.” Little did I know last year was not only a surprise hit, but it also came with an outspoken support soundtrack to boot.
It’s safe to say you’re excited about the Stellar Blade sequel coming out, but what about you? Are you excited to find out what Eve is doing? I wonder which ending will become Canon… Please tell us how you feel about the following!
