As you gain experience in your class, new loadout options will be unlocked.

In gameplay terms, the three classes are fairly well balanced, and they perfectly handle team-based play with distinctive active, passive abilities and statistics. I’m biased towards the Sabrask Tank class, but I didn’t feel that any of them were particularly overwhelming or overwhelmed.

It is also common to be grouped with new players who ignore reduced circles. Considering how quickly the zones collapse, I can’t blame them.

The match usually takes about 10 minutes, which is quite short for Battle Royale. They don’t lend enough time to get familiar with hideouts and set strategic boundaries. It’s an embarrassing zone to boot you right away, as there’s a balanced distribution of booty and there’s a box full of weapons and equipment at the heart of the base that promotes boundary defenses around such areas. As the game progresses at such a rapid pace, strategies suffer greatly and things get faster and faster. There isn’t enough time to develop a strategy around the base before the zone collapses.

Moving from one zone to another is like pain, as Meta loves snipers a lot. The zone is very wide, so snipers have the advantage of very long range. There are so many short-range builds available when pushed from a base into an outdoor environment by intrusion rings. Ability helps a bit of this disadvantage, but it is not sufficient. For example, Tanky Sabrask has a deployable shielding feature that allows you to stop sniper shots for a limited time. But it works proactively against disintegrating circles because you need to constantly move. The pace of BR mode at the moment is strongly favoring long-distance plays that are not balanced in terms of meta.

Another disappointing player is how the portal system is tweaked in Battle Royale. Unlike other modes, the portal cannot be spamed freely. Portal use has limited charging and can be upgraded by getting loot around the map. Larger environments limit how you use the portal, as there are fewer interior spaces and more outdoor locations. I like how fast the respawn is. Teammates are forced to stick close to each other for the opportunity to revive their fallen comrades.

This is a disappointment considering that it is a new big thing in the game. Hopefully, we can improve pacing with line updates as all the ingredients are there to make this a dynamic and fun game.
