The Persona 4 remake is definitely real, and it's called Persona 4 Revival

With the game officially announced, the day to speculate and pour over the Persona 4 remake is over. Today we first saw (and very short) an updated version of one of the most beloved persona games.

The remake is officially entitled Persona 4 Revival and was announced on the Xbox Games Showcase.

The release of Persona 4 Revival was very short, but you could have missed it. It was a simple trailer recorded in just under a minute. Of course, it was mainly a character running around the town of Inaba, flaunting her updated visuals.

The revival has been pitched as a “rethinking” of the classic game, but even a press release didn’t tell us exactly what we could hope for. Revival also does not have a release target, but it is on work with PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/s. It can be used on the first day with Game Pass (Ultimate/PC).

Recently, voice actor Yuri Lowenthal has insisted on social media that he will not return to do what he believes is Atlas’ decision. Several other actors who expressed the characters in the original game cried out later to say they wouldn’t return for the remake either.

However, fans soon began to suspect that they were part of a massive marketing ploy. Because the actors released these statements in the same order in which the characters are featured in the game.

Persona 4 was first released in 2008 on the PS2. In 2012, an updated version – Persona 4 Golden – appeared on the PS Vita before the original game was ported to the PS3 in 2014. In 2020, the PS4 and, finally, the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch in 2023.

However, all of these were re-releases with minimal changes, but the complete remake includes more than that. That’s why fans are expecting this release.

Coach Kazuhisa Wada said in a press release that the team “is confident that this will be a fresh and surprising product for both newcomers and longtime fans,” but no longer share anything else.
