Apple’s next Big Vision Pro update will be coming to Visionos 26 later this year, adding the ability for developers to create co-located AR experiences so that developers can interact with the same apps, 3D models and more.
Perhaps there are not many friends or family members who have one vision pro between them. two, Droping features is probably something that the enterprise can lag behind, and is also the most “pro” pro smur.
However, it’s not just a colocation update. This means interacting only locally. According to Apple, the upcoming Visionos 26 feature allows users to watch the latest blockbuster movies in 3D and play spatial games together, as well as collaborating with colleagues from near or far.
It integrates the features with FaceTime, so users from all over the world can be added, as Apple shouldn’t do it. FaceTime has had a persona since Vision Pro was released in early 2024, and users have interacted with users using realistic avatars across the company’s ecosystem of all devices.
To launch, Apple showed off its functionality with its own engineering and 3D design company, Dassault Systèmes. 3dlive An app that connects remote colleagues and visualizes 3D designs of AR (see above).
Apple’s biggest competitor, Meta, allowed developers to create co-located apps for consumers since the company released the Horizon OS V71 update in late 2024.
