Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s Siege Mode Playtests Have Begun on PC

Developer Saber Interactive revealed details of upcoming major updates Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2brings a new mode of siege. The studio, which was expanded in a trailer released on Skulls Festival of Video Games, has revealed, among other things, that player progression in Siege mode will be shared with progression from operation.

In Siege mode, up to three players will earn points to complete the wave by killing all enemies that appear. However, it is worth noting that the points earned in each wave are shared between the three players. If the wave is to reward the group with 600 points, each player will get 200 points. These points can be spent at the request terminal to purchase new equipment and reinforcements such as the Cadian and Marines.

For every five waves, players can change sectors via the elevator. Once you complete each sector, players will earn even greater rewards. This includes more request points and armory data that can be used to upgrade weapons.

Currently, the studio is running tests in siege mode through public test servers available in the game’s beta run. Once announced on June 26th, Seige mode will be available as a free update for all players.

Along with the encircling mode, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 We will also get two new cosmetic packs: the White Scars Chapter Pack and the Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack.

Back in May, Saber Interactive’s Chief Creative Officer Tim Willit said that Siege Mode would not be linked directly to the main campaign. Space Marine 2. Operational mode missions tend to take place parallel to the events of the main campaign, but the Siege mode becomes entirely of its own.

“Titus and his team will pass through this Imperial Fortress during the first mission, re-activate the antennas and ensure that orbital cannons fire at the Tyranid’s nest ark above,” Willit explained. “Our role in siege mode is to protect this fortress, but we can visit it more.”

Willit also confirmed that while Siege Mode offers players a new gameplay experience, the game mode does not bring new types of enemies. He also noted that all enemies in the rest of the game become potential enemies in Siege mode, except for the Hive Tyrants in the Decaptitation mission and the Trigons in the Exfiltration. However, new enemies will be introduced.

Regarding the difficulty of scaling in Siege mode, Willit says players will also “facing more Minor Squirrel and Major Squirrel enemies, more extreme enemies, and more Apocalypse bosses.”
